This week I wanted to write about all the different ways to use Lipstick & Lip Gloss. Not long ago, I was going out with Jacqueline and I thought I needed more blush on my cheeks. I don’t usually like to pack my purse with makeup so I took out my pink lipstick, put it on my cheeks, and blended it from the apple of my cheeks to my temples with my fingers. Jacqueline looked at me like I was crazy until she saw how it looked when I was done. Yes! I was putting lipstick on her cheeks. I really like this trick because it not only saves room in my purse but it’s also a great trick for someone on the go or if you are looking to save some money. Let’s face it, there ‘s no reason lipstick can’t be used as a blush- it’s kind of like a nice cream blush.
Another little trick is with Lip Gloss! if you’re looking for a specific color that you don’t have, why not can make your own color! Take a clear lip gloss (any brand will do) and mix it with a shadow or blush. Just scrape a bit of the powder from the shadow or blush with a pallet knife onto a plate and pick the color up with the clear gloss. Mix it together just for 1 application or you could get a gloss with a wand and make yourself a custom color gloss in a tube!
Colors I recommend for lipstick to use as blush:
MAC colors: “MAC Red” & “Pink Nouvea“
Lipstick Queen: “Rouge” & “Berry“
Let me know how it worked for you!
