How can anyone resist the smell of soap? I especially love the Chic inspired White Tiger and Leopard Soap. The White Tiger smells of freesia and hibiscus and the Leopard Soap is just as nice with myrrh and ginger tea. Both leave a soft scent and your skin feeling soft. Lauren’s Beauty Tips – OPI “Holland Collection 2012″

Have you checked out the new Spring/Summer collection from OPI ? Leave it up to them to pick the must have shades for their Holland Collection 2012. I’m obsessed with all of the shimmers and sparkle this line has to offer. If you loved their taupe color for the fall, then you will love, “Wooden Shoe Like to Know?”. It has sort of a pink, gold, and greenish shimmer to it giving their natural taupe a little fun pop for spring/summer.

Check out the rest of their shimmering shades on the OPI website and let me know what color you picked.

Lauren’s Beauty Tips – Too Faced “Eye Shadow Insurance”

The secret in keeping eye shadow on longer and crease free is from a little tube call Eye Insurance from Too Faced Cosmetics. Dab a little on your finger tip and cover your eye lid evenly. The smooth gliding formula will even out your skin tones giving you a perfect even base for your shadows. You will definitely notice a bolder, true shadow color until you are ready to take it off.

I’m excited to announce that Too Faced Cosmetics is one of the make -up lines I will sell at my store CafFace. I know many of you live outside of New Jersey, but don’t worry because we’re working hard to launch my online store, so you can have access to all the great lines.

Lauren’s Beauty Tips – Soap Opera Company Bath Bombs

Hi everyone! I am happy to read that so many of you are going to try the Dolly Moo body scrub! Let me know what you think when you get it and tweet me @Laurenmanzo !

Keeping with the entire spa/bath idea in mind, I came across a great alternative to bath soap for your next bath. They are called,”bath bombs“. They are golf ball sized soaps that you toss into the bath with warm water. They slowly fizz away leaving a tinted color to your bath water and a beautiful fragrant.

I love that my entire skin is so soft and scented. Try a fragrant you love and let me know what you think.

Lauren’s Beauty Tips – Freeman’s Peel Off Mask

I love receiving beauty questions on tips and products. Just recently, I was asked if I would recommend an at home peel-off facial mask that was really affordable and easy to use.

The Cucumber Peel-Off Mask by Freeman’s is not only a great facial peel, but less than $5.00. I would recommend applying an even amount and leaving for 15-20 minutes even though the bottle directions state 5-10 minutes. After the mask has dried completely, you should be able to gently peel away any dead/dry skin. Rinse with warm water.  I love the feeling that my face looks and feels refreshed and renewed.

You pick up ‘The Cucumber Peel-Off Mask” at any local CVS Pharmacy on sale for $3.19.

Visit the CVS Pharmacy website for more products. Please let me know your thoughts once you have tried it, or if you have already tried it. Tweet me @Laurenmanzo .

Lauren’s Beauty Tips – Use Lipstick As Blush

This week I wanted to write about all the different ways to use Lipstick & Lip Gloss. Not long ago, I was going out with Jacqueline and I thought I needed more blush on my cheeks. I don’t usually like to pack my purse with makeup so I took out my pink lipstick, put it on my cheeks, and blended it from the apple of my cheeks to my temples with my fingers. Jacqueline looked at me like I was crazy until she saw how it looked when I was done. Yes! I was putting lipstick on her cheeks. I really like this trick because it not only saves room in my purse but it’s also a great trick for someone on the go or if you are looking to save some money. Let’s face it, there ‘s no reason lipstick can’t be used as a blush- it’s kind of like a nice cream blush.

Another little trick is with Lip Gloss! if you’re looking for a specific color that you don’t have, why not can make your own color! Take a clear lip gloss (any brand will do) and mix it with a shadow or blush. Just scrape a bit of the powder from the shadow or blush with a pallet knife onto a plate and pick the color up with the clear gloss. Mix it together just for 1 application or you could get a gloss with a wand and make yourself a custom color gloss in a tube!

Colors I recommend for lipstick to use as blush:

MAC colors: “MAC Red” & “Pink Nouvea

Lipstick Queen: “Rouge” & “Berry

Let me know how it worked for you!

Tweet me your color combination and pictures @Laurenmanzo !  I’d like to see what you came up with!
